Campbell Wylie

Campbell moved to Whanganui to undertake the Certificate in Glass Design and Production (Level 6), completing this in 2007.

I predominately use kiln formed glass techniques to create my work. I use processes such as lost wax casting, or layering glass via fusing and cutting back through layers; creating visual illusions is a key element in my work.

My sculptural work involves recycling and using found objects: reassembling, cutting, stacking, taking objects out of their original context and into another.

Campbell was a finalist in the prestigious 2008 Ranamok Glass Prize in Australia and a finalist in the International Bullseye Glass 2010 E-merge competition in the United States.
